Credit and debit card purchases are a simple way to instantly buy Bitcoin or other crypto. If you have a Visa, Mastercard or Maestro branded credit or debit card and if our card purchase option is supported in your country, you can make card purchases here.
To link a new payment card, please follow these steps:
1. Click on the Buy or Sell button.
2. Under Payment method, select Add New Payment Method.
3. Choose the option to add a debit/credit card. This will prompt you to enter the necessary details about your card.
4. After entering the required information, click on the Add New Card to save the card details.
5. For added security, you will be directed to a 3D secure screen. This is an additional verification step to ensure the card is being linked by the rightful owner. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the 3D secure process.
Once you have successfully completed the steps above, your new payment card will be linked to your Qovex account, and you can proceed with making payments using this card.
The displayed currency amount, for example BTC, represents an approximation based on the last BTC price. This means that the BTC price is not locked when you submit a purchase request and that your BTC will be purchased at market price after your payment has been approved on our partner’s end.

Card purchase - troubleshooting
There could be several reasons why your card transaction was unsuccessful. Here are some possible explanations:
1. Cardholder name mismatch The name associated with the card you used for the transaction may not match the name on your Qovex account. It is important to ensure that the cardholder’s name matches the required information.
2. Card issuer/bank restrictions Some card issuers or banks have policies that restrict or block transactions related to the cryptocurrency industry. This means that they may not authorize transactions for purchasing cryptocurrencies. In such cases, you may need to contact your card issuer or bank to inquire about their policies regarding crypto transactions.
3. Daily/monthly limits Your card may have reached its daily or monthly transaction limit. Many cards have predefined limits on the amount of money that can be spent in a given time period. Check with your card issuer or bank to verify if you have reached your card's transaction limit.
4. Insufficient funds If there are insufficient funds available in your linked card's account, the transaction will be declined. Make sure that your card has enough funds to cover the desired purchase amount.
5. Qovex's daily/monthly limit If you have reached these limits, you will need to wait until the limits reset before attempting another transaction.
