What is Qovex role in the Mt. Gox creditor rehabilitation process?

Qovex is one of the crypto exchanges supporting the rehabilitation process of Mt. Gox creditors, led by the creditors’ bankruptcy trustee.

As part of the rehabilitation process, Mt. Gox creditors can open an account with Qovex and register on the trustee’s platform by following the instructions available on https://www.mtgox.com/.

Qovex role in the rehabilitation process is limited to giving Mt. Gox creditors access to their claimed assets. The eligibility of claims and the rehabilitation process are entirely determined by the rehabilitation trustee.

What do I need to do to benefit from the rehabilitation process?

In order to receive your Mt. Gox claimed assets, you must:

1. Set up your Qovex account if you do not already have one
2. Follow the instructions detailed in the trustee's official public announcement
3. Complete your registration on the trustee's platform

When can I expect to receive my claimed assets on the Qovex account?

Qovex does not control the timing of asset distribution since it is entirely determined by the trustee. Please follow the trustee's public announcements available on https://www.mtgox.com/.

Am I eligible for this process? Where can I check?

The rehabilitation trustee sent emails which detail results of the acceptance or rejection of the rehabilitation claims to creditors who filed rehabilitation claims at their contact email address, so please check your emails.

You can also check the results of the acceptance or rejection by logging in to the MTGOX Online Rehabilitation Claim Filing System (Online System).

Until when do I need to sign up if I am eligible? / When is the due date for signing up for the rehabilitation process?

If you wish to receive repayment under the Rehabilitation Plan, you will have to select the repayment method and register the payee information on the MTGOX Online Rehabilitation Claim Filing System (Online System). As of date of publishing this FAQ, the deadline is April 6, 2023 but be sure to check the trustee website for the most up to date information.

What if I already have a Qovex account?

Then your first step to receiving your repayment is completed. Now you need to carefully read the detailed instructions in the trustee's official public announcement and complete the registration on the trustee’s platform.

Will I be notified once I receive the transfer to my Qovex account?

Unfortunately, this information will have to be provided by the trustee and we currently do not know whether any creditors will be notified when they will receive the funds or at least an approximate period.

What happens with my Qovex account after I get the funds?

After you receive your recovered assets, you may continue using Qovex normally. You may use your funds for any functionalities your Qovex account supports.

Can I register to the MTGOX Online Rehabilitation Claim Filing System (Online System) with my Qovex credentials?

Qovex credentials cannot be used when signing up on the MTGOX Online Rehabilitation Claim Filing System (Online System). In order to register, you will require a creditor code which you will receive from Mt. Gox. For more information on the registration, please refer to https://claims.mtgox.com/faq.
