Everything you need to know about Ethereum (ETH) staking at Qovex

Staking and Lending is not available in the US, UK, Singapore, Japan and Canada.

You can stake ETH to earn rewards. Staking is a way to earn crypto rewards while helping strengthen the security of the blockchain network.

How can I stake Ether (ETH)?

You can stake your ETH directly by subscribing to the ETH staking service on our Staking page.

When do I start earning rewards?

It can take some time after you have staked your ETH to start earning rewards. This is because it can take a while for your assets to actually get staked, due to large demand and congestion on the Ethereum network.

What are the rewards for staking ETH?

Your staking reward is determined by the ETH protocol and passed along to you, minus a Qovex commission of 15%. Note that the size of the rewards depends on how much you have staked and how much competition there is in staking across the entire blockchain. Rewards are determined by the ETH protocol and can change over time.

To see the latest staking rewards, please see the Earn page.

How do I earn rewards?

You earn rewards from the Ethereum protocol, not Qovex. Qovex acts only as a service provider connecting you, the validators, and Ethereum network. Rewards will be distributed to your account promptly after they are received by Qovex.

When and how are staking rewards distributed?

Rewards are distributed at the beginning of each month. You will receive the rewards for staked ETH in your main account. For any staked ETH held in the subaccounts, you will not receive rewards.

Can I unstake my ETH?

Yes, the Ethereum network now allows for unstaking. Your staked ETH balance is reflected on your Ethereum asset page

You can request to unstake your ETH at any time through your Qovex account. Requests for unstaking will be subject to a waiting period, which is determined by the Ethereum protocol. Once the period ends, your Ethereum will become available for withdrawal.

What are the risks associated with ETH staking?

Staking involves some risks as your assets may not be readily available during the lock-up period. To minimize the risks involved, Qovex employs a number of preventive measures and uses well-known and established node validators that use various innovative software controls.

  •  Staking may result in losses amounting from 1 to 32 staked ETH.

  •  In case of events outside the control of staking providers, losses may not be covered for.

  •  Slashing affects all Qovex clients proportionate to their stake.

  •  Slashing may result in reduced staking reward or, if the slashing penalty exceeds the reward, reduced staked amount.

  •  If staked ETH is hit by slashing while it's traded on Qovex, the penalty is deducted at the next reward distribution and affects both the seller and the buyer proportionately.
